Unfiltered Redhook Hefe-Weizen wheat ale contains live yeast which drifts to the bottom of the bottle. Many ale drinkers "relax the yeast" by laying the bottle on it's side and gently rolling it to release the rich flavors back into the ale. Others prefer to decant the ale for a subtler palate. In either case, we recommend refrigeration to maintain optimum quality and character.
