Berkshire Springs is named for
the mountainous hill country of Western Massachusetts.
Brewers have always been extremely proud of their water,
and a source of clean pure water practically guaranteed
that a brewery would be built nearby. Our beer, at 4.8%
alcohol by volume, is on the lower end of the range for
its day, doing double duty as a table beer, great with
food, and a beer that offers plenty of sipping potential.
True to the style, the hops—mostly of English
derivation—have been heaped on high, giving
Berkshire Springs a crisp drinkability that belies it's
strength.
