GENERAL INFORMATION

You now can have electric power anytime or anywhere you drive or sail without carrying an engine generator plant. Most installations can be accomplished in less than 4 hours and can easily be removed and reinstalled on new vehicles. The kit comes with just about all the parts required for a good installation (Engine pulleys and belts not included).

USES
The GETEC "Mighty-Max" will operate almost all electrical tools and appliances, such as drills, grinders, lights, blowers, vacuums, pumps, electric motors, televisions, radios, stoves, microwaves, electric typewriters and computers.

VOLTAGE REGULATION
Constant voltage control can be obtained by the used of the optional voltage limiter (V.L. 12). The device will not allow the voltage to rise above the standard 125 V (factory set). If required, the V.L. 120 can be field adjusted to limit the output of the "Mighty-Max" anywhere between 100 - 145 V AC. The optional V.L. 120 is only required when the "Mighty-Max" is operated at varying engine RPM's (such as over the road operations).

  ENGINE WIRING
When installed on any engine, the "Mighty-Max" wiring will not alter or affect the engine's own electrical wiring. The two electrical systems are totally isolated from each other.

DELUXE CONTROL PANEL
Includes voltmeter, on-off switch, field excitation indicator, 4 outlets (GFI optional), automatic overload trip, and GETEC's "auto-off" optional feature. This feature eliminates dead batteries, should the operator forget to turn off the excitation switch when vehicle engine is off.

OUTPUT
Output voltage of the "Mighty-Max" alternator is in direct relationship to the engine RPM. In most instances, the pulley ratio is approximately 2.5 to 1. That means that in order to produce 120 V AC and 60 Hz. (3600 generator RPM), your engine will turn approximately 1400 RPM. This RPM is ideal to maintain the engine at its designed operating temperature and most economical efficiency. If a non-standard voltage is required, this can be accomplished by simply increasing or decreasing the engine RPM. At 3700 watt, the "Mighty-Max" will require only 8 HP of your engine. When not in use, the "Mighty-Max" will demand only a fraction of a horsepower
