This porter comes from over two centuries ago when beer tasted completely different from today's mass-produced beers. Porter began in 1722, the same year that Samuel Adams was born. American porters were the favorite of Samuel Adams and his fellow brewers and revolutionaries, Thomas Jefferson and George Washington. They brewed with native ingredients like roasted malts and honey which gives a full, round flavor to this dark robust porter.
